LIFE EVENTS- baptisms, weddings and funerals

In the first instance please contact our parishoffice on 01202 612337 option 1 or email office@epiphanychurch.co.uk

Baptisms are usually carried out on Sunday, either in the main service or at 12:00 for just the family. Baptism is the sacrament whereby someone is formally admitted into Christ’s Church, and is the first step on a journey of faith. We welcome all into the Church following the command of Jesus as it is written in Matthew’s Gospel ” Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.” However we do ask that you have a short chat with one of the Lay Ministers about what you understand by baptism for yourself, your family and your child before we will confirm a date and time for your baptism service.

Funerals are usually arranged through your funeral director and a service may be held in Church or one of our ministers may officiate at the crematorium or burial site. We work with the family to ensure that their wishes and those of the deceased are met as we celebrate the mortal life that has ended and the Christian hope that Jesus brings for eternal life to come.
