About us

Welcome to Holy Epiphany!

We are an Inclusive Church. We celebrate the diversity of humanity, each one of us made in God’s image. We strive to make our worship and activities accessible to all.

The church has wheelchair access through the main door. We also have an accessible toilet. Our extremely effective sound system includes a loop for hearing aid users. We also have large print hymn and service books available.

We pray that all may find this church a place of safety and sanctuary, where everyone can flourish and experience the love of Christ in all whom they meet here.

What we believe

In a nutshell, we believe that we are all children of God… that is, created and loved by God, to love and be loved on this earth, following the example of Jesus Christ. By learning more about Jesus both from studying the Bible and through our worship together, we can set the pattern for our lives by always thinking and praying: What Would Jesus Do… in this situation, in this relationship, in our sad times, as well as in our joyful times?

We may discover that we are all on an adventure of exploration, like being a pilgrim on a journey, learning more about ourselves, our planet, our companions on the Way, our own identity as we navigate the various stages of our lives, always in the full assurance and knowledge that God loves us for who we are, and wherever we may be on that journey of discovery.

Here at Holy Epiphany Church, we seek to provide a safe space to be ourselves in truth and integrity. We strive to welcome all people into our community; we encourage questioning and discussing openly what we believe, and how those beliefs can change and grow in faith and love as we become more confident with ourselves and with each other. We therefore, try to be an Inclusive and Honest Church, following the love and compassion, the generosity and hospitality that Jesus showed towards all people.

Revd Canon Helen Griffiss Priest In Charge

I am delighted to be the new Priest-in-Charge of Holy Epiphany Church from May 2024.

We welcome people of all ages to worship with us and join the activities and events which take place throughout the year in the church complex.

This church is a beacon of Christ’s light reaching out to all who pass by. I look forward to baptising and marrying many people, and celebrating with you the special life events which make memories to treasure.
